January 6, 2009, Morning
Well, today is a big day. I head over to Sault Ste. Marie this afternoon to see what Dr.
limited activity, and be back on track for the rest of this season.

If I am remotely able, I would love to run in this weekend's race over in Newberry. It is
more of a sprint race, under 100 miles, than a full scale distance race, but getting any
race time this season would be an accomplishment. I also really want to try out the new

I am very hopeful that my finger has started to heal. I am able to wiggle all my fingers in
the cast, which I think is a good sign. I also do not have any more extreme pain, except
when my arm gets bumped or hit. I am also really looking forward to getting the pins out,

Ed, Steve, and the Captain are going on a long run this afternoon, taking out my team. I
have yet to go see them since I got back. I feel horrible. Since the beginning, we have
been a hodge podge team of misfits. Three girls, a dog that loves to lie around and sleep,
and a bunch of young males that just love to run. I feel like my hand has let not only
the humans down, but also the dogs.

So hopefully, I will get the go ahead this afternoon to start LIMITED training with my
team. My misfits. My crew. My dogs. My friends.
